SensoBaby is pleased to be hosting a 5-week course in Postnatal Pilates with Jessica Bateman. This is suitable for anybody, but will pay special attention to exercises that help a postpartum body.
What Is Pilates?
Pilates is an exercise system focused on improv- ing flexibility, strength and body awareness.
What’s Great About Postnatal Pilates?
Postnatal-specific Pilates-based core exercise is brilliant for any new mum to be doing, regardless of the type delivery.
Following a C-section, significant postpartum rehabilitation is needed to restore ab- dominal strength and mobility. This Pilates program is designed to help Mums rebuild abdominal stability by incorporating exercises to strengthen the transversus abdominis and pelvic floor muscles.
Who’s Jessica Bateman?
Jess is a mother to a gorgeous 8 month old boy and a Pilates instructor. She has been teaching for 12 years. She teaches a mixture of Stotts, Basi and Tri -focus Pilates. And she’s been a member of the SensoBaby community since before her boy was born!
What Do You Need?
You only need clothes that you can move around in. Classes are done with no shoes.
When Is It?
This course is being offered at SensoBaby @ REWA Education Centre on Wednesday mornings from 9:00-9:45am. It is a 5-week course for P350.
