SensoBaby is committed to supporting and building the community.
Thrive is a voluntary project that brings play opportunities to sick children on the oncology & haemotology wards in Princess Marina Hospital.
Our Volunteer Play Practitioners visit children and their families to brighten up their day by engaging them in games, crafts and other activities.
We also support the annual Childhood Cancer Survivor Party in September and take part in events and activities throughout the year.
If you would like to gain some valuable experience, put a smile on someone’s face and be part of something amazing, then please get in touch to volunteer your time. We are always looking for sponsorship to make sure our children’s lives are full of happy memories.
Friendly Start
Having a baby is a rollercoaster ride already. When your baby is born prematurely, it takes its toll emotionally, physically and financially.
Friendly Start Project trains volunteers to assist families with babies in the Neo Natal Unit at Princess Marina Hospital. Our volunteers support the operations of the Breastfeeding Cafe, where mothers can feed or pump for their baby on the ward.
There are opportunities to raise funds for essential items and prepare care packs for these families who may come from all around Botswana, seeking help for their baby.
We hope to offer workshops for parents in the future, and are always looking for experts and professionals who may be able to assist the project.
